Security systems have been part of my life for the past 25 years. Obviously, I feel every home needs one. The wonderful advancements in the past 5 years have outstripped anything thought possible to be accessible to the general population as far as expanding those systems to include automation features in our homes being affordable. Basic security should now include perimeter as well as interior protection, smoke and great change detection, HVAC control, access control and video surveillance along with lighting control.
