Our skylight leaks…through the glass. Its seems more like a condensation or weird osmosis issue as the water seems to be seeping through the glass itself, not around the window frame.
How do we fix this?
I’m not a glass guy but I’ve seen someone do the following:
- Remove the seal around the glass then take out the actual glass
- Clean it
- Put it back but with a new rubber seal around the glass, which is what was leaking to begin with.
Its probably the seal. but I’m not 100% sure.
Without visually inspecting it, its very difficult to give accurate diagnosis…
Water cannot seep through glass as glass is solid material.
Many times, it is a condensation problem or other times the seal on the glass just simply fails…
