How do you maintain the quality of your subs when you can't be on the job site daily?

Its very hard. I have learned the hard way with this one.

All you can do is make sure you are hiring good subs.
Be VERY clear about what you expect from them, and be VERY clear of the consequences if they do not follow through.

Set expectations. Inspect their work before you hire them, and if their quality doesn’t meet or exceed yours, stop them BEFORE it gets out of control.

Set up checklist of how you expect things to be done and request picture updates daily. Everyone has a smartphone now so it can easily be monitored if you are unavailable.
