This is for a 3/4 bath, about 750 square feet. The shower area is a shower/tub combo.
My contractor says it will only take a week to do a cosmetic reno, including new tub installation and tile work, but this seems optimistic to me.
How Long It Takes to Remodel a Bathroom. The full-scale tear out and rebuild of a small bathroom should not take long. When all working parts mesh correctly, you can expect a bathroom to be fully remodeled in a total of 23 days. Assuming that no work is done on weekends, this translates to 4.5 weeks.
This does vary based on the size of the bathroom and what all is being changed. A small bathroom, with only cosmetic changes being made, 1-2 weeks. A full tear out and remodel, 3-4 weeks.
Hi Michael,
This is a good question. 750 Sq. Ft. is a sizable bathroom. Definitely can’t be done in a week. Unless it’s 750 Sq. Ft. including walls. How many walls will be tiled?

Yes, 2 guys can definitely finish in a week, assuming you don’t run into any issues when you demo the walls. I alone finished a complete bathroom demo/renovation in 10 days. It is do-able.

It depends on the size of the bathroom. An average size bath room can be completely remodeled in 2-3 weeks if you don’t confront a serious problem.
Generally based on the details you provided, it would take 2-3 weeks to have the project completed properly. However, it does depend on the size of his work team that he is applying to that job. Also, there are steps to the construction. Depending on the project, the subcontractors have jobs to do for each aspect of the bathroom such as hot electrical, plumbing, hot mopping, etc…which is based off when each step is complete before the next can be applied.
Thank you,

It depends on the size of the bathroom. It takes 2-3 weeks to completely redo an average size bathroom.

For magazine quality work estimate 2 - 3 weeks. Unless all materials are in the garage ready to be installed including, tub, glass enclosure if any, tile, vanity and sink, with a 2 man crew the demo can be done in one day, preparing the area and plumbing valves, etc on the second day, that leaves you with 4 days to completion working into the weekend. It can be done in one week, but it’s best not to rush through tile installation especially in a bathroom, one small leak can cost you thousands more than having to wait a couple weeks for it to look perfect.
Certainly, the square footage of this bathroom must be 75 sq ft, (not 750). Our full bathroom remodels are bid at 10 working days, (unless the tile work is complex). Tub to shower conversions only, using cultured marble base/walls have been completed in 5.

For 75 sq.ft with some plumbing and electrical adjustments, I will bid with 4-6 weeks to completed the job, i need extra days to allow flexibility with my subs and city inspectors not always available for next day.

On average 2-4 weeks. Depending on size, what materials you choose, ect… Every job varies per job.
