When you say “new dormers”, how many dormers and in what sizes?

Based on a simple roof plan, standard materials, and new metal flashing throughout the roof, you should expect a price range of $12,000 to $14,000 from licensed contractors.
From where I am at, it would be about $8000 to do.
My estimate includes the following:
Complete Tear Off & Haul Away (Company to provide container).
Using the existing plywood (If needed, replacing partial damaged sheathing only)
Installation of new dormers.
Installation of new flashing, edge metal, etc.
If you’re dealing directly with the company owner, then expect to pay between $10,000.00 -$11,000.00.
If your dealing with a project manager/salesman then expect to pay between $11,000-13,000.00.
Its hard to give you a general ballpark but my company would be around 10-11k. I cannot stand by other companies as some companies can charge as high as 16k for the same scope.

I would quote this roofing project at $7,200.00 for an Owens Corning 30 year dimensional shingle and place an additional allowance on your dormer project.
I do not have enough information on the “new dormers” to give an exact dollar amount for that scope of work.
Get three estimates from reputable contractors…
