I bought a new chandelier over the weekend that needs to be hung professionally. There are two issues. One, it needs to be converted from track lighting (which it was originally hung on) to a standard mount. Two, its quite heavy, so we’re worried it needs to be professionally supported.
The chandelier is made of several glass bulbs (i.e. the “bubble” style so popular right now), and is very fragile in addition to being very heavy.
Most companies have a minimum of at least $150 for the trip to the home. Barring any panel changes and if it is just a straight shot hanging of a chandelier, you are looking at a couple hours of labor and the trip charge, so probably between $200-$300 .
