We’re considering putting in a deck, but would need to put in doors. We have a fairly wide window that could be replaced with doors, but I don’t know how to price this project to see if its in our budget.
If the window is large enough to have a door fit in the existing opening you are quite golden. You are talking minor demolition and no structural modifications to your home. You just need to infill to match adjacent construction. However if the exterior is some type of siding material that is difficult to match you may incur that expense as well. Good luck. Just get a contractor out there to give you an estimate!
