Our apartment’s electrical panel is in a kitchen cabinet, which isn’t to code.

The city building inspectors suggested we move the panel down to the garage, which is below the kitchen, where there won’t be obstruction issues. They said this should be easy and less expensive than standard panel moves because there are already wires running up the walls at that point to connect the panel box to the main breakers.
