About how much should it cost to put 44’ of 1" wide walnut inlay, sand and finish, into existing oak floor?
Your have to match everything after you sand it all down, its tricky i would charge between 650-800 without material.
Thanks,
Marty
Depends which company. It usually boils down to you get whatyou pay for. If you go with a cheap flooring company you are taking a high risk of customer non satisfaction. Hire a company with a good reputation and you know has done that type of work before. Usually a company will charge you by the linear feet for the walnut which prices around $3.00 to $5.00 per lft. depends from where you buy your walnut from. Then the price for labor which can range from 30- 50 dollars a hour depending on the company and how the room is set up. The more corners the more money.
The motto you get what you pay for is very true in most instances with carpentry. We recommend hiring someone who will match the wood grains to the best of their ability and take the time to do it right. It can be a difficult job, but the end result will be more than worth it.
