How much will it cost to take down a load bearing wall that is 11' long?

Greetings! Removing a load bearing wall is usually not recommended. The foundation (permitted walls) have settled with the existing load that is transferred down. It’s like teaching an old dog new tricks. However if you still must remove a load bearing wall (to have a open layout) it must be supported with a I-beam. An Engineer must calculate the load and specify the gauge and pounds per feet for the new beam. In addition the beam must have a vertical support (column) to transfer the load to the floor or to the level below. Perhaps you can get lucky by hiring a design build firm as this usually streamlines the project. We are fortunately a design and build firm. I hope I have answered your questions and or concerns. Load bearing wall removal is requiring temporarily wall support, proper size steel I-Beam or LVL Wood Beam supported with posts at each end.
If your 12’0" bearing wall is interior, you could still use multiply of 1 3/4" Laminated wood beams at 11" or 14" in height for proper strength.
Exterior and interior brick Load walls require structural steel beam/posts.
My company ZK Quality Corp. enlarge a lot of small kitchen-into dinning spaces by placing a beam and counter or island below beam run. Space above can be so-feted with drywall and can lights. Typical structural opening with 12’0" wood LVL-Beam and posts placement would start around $3200.00. Opening walls by adding a beam is changing a whole new perspective on house space, look and open feeling. All the best, let your company do the rest.

To supplement the prior answers , any major load modifications would, more than likely, require pads added under the footers if they are not adequately sized. This process requires discovery and verification by a licensed contractor.

You’ll need a permit if required $50-$100, 20-30% of job cost for the contractor
Engineer to determine amount of load bearing to calculate the beam size- and whether new footing will need to be poured approx. $500
removal of 11’ wall - $250-$500, dig and concrete pour $350-$500 (2 new piers if needed).
Install beam and connect ceiling joist/rafter supports $1700 (labor and material). and . So, you are looking at about $3500-$4000…

All Depends on where the load bearing wall is located.???
