How should I value perceived quality vs price?

quality

I focus on quality and value.

from the very first customer to last one, it should always be quality before quantity.

Quality comes first.

Quality first then price followed by intuition…i.e can I get along with this contractor.

Definitely quality but there also has to be a fair value to. Can’t go price gouging just cause you do great work. Be fair with people and it will reward.

All you guys are spot on!

Quality, absolutely. Price tends to mirror quality but not always. Low prices can reflect low quality and cheap services. It’s always best to ask and talk with your contractor before beginning any project.

Quality is first, but not always a lower price means low quality. You have to ask questions and check out the project that the contractor has completed.

biggest focus is quality work.

youll know the quality of the work by the price, make sure you test the people you interview and see how they answer the faster they answer and the more they explain the more experience they have.

Although total cost is important to clients, most likely they’d go for what feels right and fair. Clients understand value and know that the cheapest is rarely the best option and they much rather not take the risk of a sloppy job. Having said that, the highest bid doesn’t necessarily translate to the best option, one must consider proven experience, trustworthiness and professionalism.
