How to add stairs to new sliding glass door

Having a sliding glass door installed and permit office wants plans for outside stairs. I measured from the cement patio we have to the top wood after the foundation and have 8” drop after the opening of the slider.

Wouldn’t that just be a landing and a 7.5” riser onto the ground since it’s so close ?

His main concern is probably on the attachment of the stairs to the house. You can just tell him you will set 4x4 for support to the srtingers and are going to float the steps with a minimum drop of 3" and a max drop of 7 3/4.
8" is to high.
