You should start by reaching out to contractors on Buildzoom and/or Houzz, in your area. There should be plenty of reviews. Find a contractor that has done similar projects to your taste.
I would advise you to get at least three estimates for your project, from different contractors and make sure they are fully insured and licensed in your state. It is also very important that they have experience in building a house. Ask for a list of references.
