If your schedule is too full or you just aren’t the right fit for a job, do you always point a client to a contractor you know and trust?
In these cases, do you get a referral fee or do you just pass the client along with the assumption that you’ll get a job passed your way in the future?
Sub contract the parts of the job, or the whole job to someone you trust.
Sell the whole contract to the company you trust.
Be a consultant to the client and tell them you have hand selected 2 to 3 of the teams you trust to complete the job. This will leave the homeowner a choice of service providers without you doing the job.
Have an agreement in place with one or two crews and agree to turn business to each other.
Reffering other Contractors is a very tricky thing you must realize that you are basically putting your own reputation on the line. with any line of work even the best people can have problem and there issue will still reflect on you. So from exsperience i would say be carefull who you refer and be prepared to step up and take care of there issues if needed.
