I’ve been reading a lot of literature online that suggests that design-build firms actually end up costing less at the end of the day - however, most of that literature has been written by design-build firms.
What do other folks think about the actual cost and time savings that could come from hiring a design-build firm instead of working with an architect first and then bidding the project out later.
We are general contractors for 30 plus years, been working with clients and there architects since. We came to the conclusion to offer services to perform Design Build work which safe time & money to the client, they will deal with one shop to resolve issues, address concerns and keep the project moving forward. We found a lot of customers like that service and as they said, it saves them money and headaches.
