100% I’ve always helped design kitchens and bathrooms sometimes home owners totally change whole project scopes
Yes It is very common for clients to ask for design advice and expertise on new materials and emerging technologies. This is a great opportunity for you to sell your clients on things they may not be aware of and that is in line with their design goals. That being said keep the design consultations simple. Meaning you are not an interior designer or architect. So you don’t have to provide drawings or rendering but you could as a service if you know how or have someone in house that does that. Often times when clients are going over the scope of work they will want your input.
