Is right now the best time to buy/build a home?

YES!

With the economy rebounding, rents soaring, interest rates inching up again, people that were sitting on the fence , jumping back in the market, now is the time, to get that financing or cash and buy that real estate, especially with prices in all Metropolitan area’s going up 7-10 % year over year.

What is your reaction and/or comment on this?

I, as a framing contractor, say now is the perfect time to build a home! Give me a call if you are looking to build in the San Diego County area. I am sure all other trades will agree with me.

I say YES! now is a good time prices are high but who knows could be even higher…

The answer I tell my clients, if you have the money and can find the right property to build on… with the size home that is suitable to your needs… and is in your budget range or… if you can find the right home to buy and renovate to your liking in your budget range, then yes you should buy or build. You can’t predict the future and like the stock market …you can always say I should wait or I should have bought back three years ago etc etc etc. But if you find the home or property to build on that works, then do it.

By all means yes! Mortgage rates are not only at all time lows but builders are offering many incentives to help clients looking to build.

It is a great time to buy a home. Prices are on the rise, but still far off from the highs of a few years ago. You can still find some great deals on houses that need some TLC or a major renovation. Interest rates are creeping up slightly, but again, they are still extremely low. Money is cheaper to borrow and and banks are loosening up slightly with their criteria to borrow so its a perfect equation to buy or build!

I think owning a good stick built home is like owning gold. Though money depreciates over time like a doublewide trailor, a well maintained stick built home and land will only go up in value over the years. I am not a real estate agent so I dont know about the market at the time but, I would buy up all I could afford.

IT is a good time to buy in markets that have a high inventory of existing homes and good time to build in other areas while the interest rate is low.

From a builder’s standpoint, any time is a good time. From a buyer’s standpoint, when things are slower you might be able to negotiate a better price. The interest rates are also a concern for buyers–when interest rates are low, it’s a better time for buyers.

Now is a good time to start the process while interest rates are low. Begin looking at floor plans and locations. Contact a Mortgage Company and get preapproved so you have an understanding of what you can afford. Starting now gets you ready to start in the Spring.

Absolutely! Now is a great time to buy. Prices are on the rise, so I wouldn’t wait any longer!

By seeing the great hike in every commodity it is beneficial to buy existing house rather thinking of building your own. However, this decision might depend on individual’s taste and budget, if they wish to have house of their own choice and don’t bother about money then things are totally different. Personally, being an employee of one small company my budget was not so high that I can build my own; hence I bought one home in the project of Albanese Builders in South Florida. I have no complaint with it as I am living happily with my family.
