My frameless glass shower door seal is leaking. How can I fill the gap?

I have a frameless glass shower door, like this:

There is a gap of about 3/4 in to 1 in between the current seal and the tub and water leaks out when the shower runs.. This is the current seal:

 



 

How can I close the gap? I tried placing even more sweep at the bottom, but that didn't work either.  

 



 

Is there a seal with extra long sweep? Another way to install sweep?
