Hardwoods are always our number one for install. People love the warmth of wood over tile.
Lately we have been experiencing a rise in installing light colored oak flooring. Most seem to want white washed wood flooring. There’s also an increasing number of clients who wants laminated flooring installed.
We are seeing a lot of the new porcelain wood-tile style flooring in our area. It’s quite alluring and there are many benefits over hardwood flooring. We are also seeing porcelain tile with the marble-look. Again, looks very real and has benefits over other natural stones.
The LVP has really stepped up the past few years. We have been selling more of it than any other flooring period. Second is still hardwood. Broken in to two categories of solid and engineered. Then tile, and carpet.
We have seen a shift for kitchen flooring materials over the past year or so. Clients are really enjoying the vinyl flooring; while many varieties still have the tile look, they are more durable, warm and very low maintenance. We have also found that the cost (labor and material) tends to be less that an typical tile installation too.
Luxury vinyl plank has become very popular
Engineered hardwood flooring has been the most popular floor that we have been installing. The trend right now is the grey colors. There has been a steady rise in vinyl plank flooring due to the factor that most are waterproof and have a realistic wood looking.
We have been installing a lot of 3/4 thick by 3 inches and wider Pre finished floors. The customers have been choosing lighter colors lately. The lighter colors show less wear and scratches through the years
