MOST DEFINETLY YES YES, CONSUMER BEWARE !!
There has been a huge rise in Marketing companies on the internet (i.e. Google thr phrase “Painters in Chambersburg PA”)
These marketing companies pose(fraudulently) as “Find Expert Painters in your area” or “Find Best Painters” or you name it they will try it. These companies DO NOT research their paying clients(Painting Contractors) to see if they are credible, honest, or any thing relevant for a consumer to make a good decision. These Marketing companies are simply using an Opportunity to grab advertising dollars (almost stealing from gullible painting contractors) because its all about MARKETING NOWDAYS.
These companies could be located in another country for all i know…One thing for sure is YOU CANNOT TRUST THEM. Consumers are relying too much on internet con games instead of doing your homework. Call only LOCAL contractors, and please verify they are LOCALLL. Set up an appointment to meet the contractor. Person to person contact is essential to a good working relationship in business from the get go.
Please beware of those marketing companies…they are spreading like flies on the internet.
They are only interested in making LARGE DOLLARS from ADVERTISING at the contractors expense, and ultimately at your expense when you hire someone they have recommended to you for your project.

Any quote off the internet about any construction project should be viewed as a blind quote. A true professional will never give a hard number unless he has seen the job site, met the owners, and gone over the scope of work to be completed.
