I noticed what looks like mold growing on the shady side of my house. Should I be concerned? Can I just wash it off, or do I need to call in a professional?
You can try washing it off. If it remains, then yes, call in a pro.

Wash it off; a power washer would work the best. Don’t get too close to the brick or siding. Start from a distance and wash it off (little pressure, distance is key). Also, see if there is a tree or something causing extra shade and if there is, trim up the bottom branches so you can get some sunlight. That will stop the mold from coming back.
