Sheet piles are interlocking sheets of corrugated steal or plastic used primarily as temporary barriers and retaining walls. Used to prevent erosion in below grade construction sites or for cofferdams to temporarily hold back water while building dams. Often seen during highway projects, sheet piles are used to retain steeply graded sections of excavation.
