Xeriscape is popular in arid regions. Depending on the style, a lot of the landscape could be composed of rocks, concrete, and other hardscapes. A lot of xeriscape friendly plants are succulents, which contain plenty of water, as opposed to shrubs and grasses containing dead/dry flammable plant material.
