The screens on my windows to protect the house from insects are getting old and have some holes in it. I would like to replace them but I’ve no knowledge about this. I’ve seen some patches I can put but I don’t think this will stay for long, I live in a very dusty area.
So, what kind of screen should I use? Also, how hard is it to replace them, can I do it myself? If no, what woud be an average cost for 13 windows(one floor)

Replacing a window screen should be relatively simple. What are the types of windows that are currently up? Could you upload some photos of the windows and screens to the thread?
easy job need some vinyle screen with cord and window screen tool kit all at Home Depot or Lowes.
your going need a flat place to lay the screen down .
Then remove old screen and cord. start with the cord look at the outside of the screen you should see the cord has a cut in it .
Take needle nose plyers and pull the cord out from around the frame holding the frame solid to the surface your working on. don’t brake the plastic corners .
Then the screen should pop right out .
Lay the new screen over the frame leaving the excess to over lap the frame (don’t pull the screen tight let it relax over the frame) make sure you keep the frame square then take the new cord and place it in one corner with the screen wheel start pushing the cord in the track around the frame one side at a time working your way around the frame as the cord go’s in the track it will pull the screen tight . ps make sure you get the right size cord. you can take one of the screens to the store to match the size cord.
Screens usaully aren’t that hard to take of the track . Where I live a few local hardware stores repair screens for a very affordable price so I take them out drop them off tell them what I’m looking for & the replace the screen. & in stall them back in place . If this is not an options replacing screen you can buy rolls of screen & a spool of the ruber that holds it in . You will need to buy the screen repair tools there fairly cheap. Is say it’s not a real hard job
Replacing the windows screens is not a difficult task. You just need to collect some tools to open up and tie the scerws. I recenlty had my windows replaced on my own. I’d just removed the frame by removing a couple of screws then took them to a oriental screen Bethesda MD and asked them to provide me the glass that fits mines frame.
Simple then I brought that one back and get them installed on my own. ! Only thing to remember is please don’t loose the screws because I’d lost them while installing. For which I’d to pay another $2.
