We’ve had several contractors ask for the ability to classify themselves into one specific category. To come up with a simple “primary” way of classifying contractors, we’ve spent some time looking at how the various license boards classify contractors and have come up with the list below.
Please note that we’re trying to come up with a relatively constrained list that can be used for a majority of contractors and don’t have a label for every single specialty classification (e.g. C-32 Parking and Highway Improvement Contractor). If a contractor just had this one license, we’d label them as a “Specialty contractor” who performs “parking and highway improvement” services.
Also note that we’re going to be introducing the ability for contractors to explain whether they perform “commercial,” “residential” or “both commercial and residential” services.
Let us know what you think - are there some missing? Are some of these redundant?
