Con: If sub-floor gives or is not sound cracking and popping tiles will occur. Unless heated it can be cold in the winter or in cold wether.
IMO cost compared to other types of flooring and cold but in exchange a good ceramic floor will last 20 years and usually wear gracefully. This means the roi is not even a comparison. If you pick a solid porcelain or hard natural stone you will be happy in the long run. Caution get a good installer. Poor install will severely shorten the life of a floor.
