I have brand new Anderson windows installed in a new addition. They make a howling noise in the wind. The window pane moves a bit from side to side within the frame. Is this an installation error or a manufacturing defect? The window is near the corner of the house - not sure if that makes a difference.
Since you have brand new Anderson windows they should be under warranty. Consider reaching out to the installer or to the seller of the product to have them come out and take another look at the windows in question. Without seeing the installation work conducted, the answer could be an installation issue or a manufacturing issue or a combination of several other factors. There is something amiss with the seal in the window and there may be a quick fix.
Hope this answer is somewhat helpful.

If you are calling the glass panel the pane then you have a manufacturing defect. The glass should be sealed steadfast in the sash or frame. If you are referring to the sash or bottom glass and frame moving side to side in the main frame it can be an installation defect or a balancer is defective or not seated to the sash. Hope this helps. In any case have your contractor return for an inspection of the problem. The above senarios are simple fixes. Only if the window is not plumb and level would it involve a removal to rectify.
