What does an average driveway cost to do in concrete?

Replacing or fixing your drive way
Generally, about $7-$12/SF for a normal driveway replacement. Add about $3-5 per square foot if you live in a high-cost area (big city or remote area) or high concrete cost area (areas in the deep south, midwest, southwest generally have cheaper concrete), and up to another $5/SF if you are looking for colored or pattern-stamped concrete, or an intricately curved drive.
This would include removing and disposing of existing thin concrete or asphalt drive - probably another $5/sf or so if you have existing subgrade problems requiring excavation, or if you are working from scratch in lawn or raw dirt and need to have base and subgrade installed first.
More again if lateral french or underdrains are needed because of water problems or clayey soil.

There is no one answer for this. Factors that are included in the cost include…

1.Type of surface soil
2. Finish
3. Distance from concrete plant
4. Weather
5. Type of finish
6. Remove existing driveway and cost of disposing (Replacement vs new install)
7. Desired slab thickness

I have charged between $4/sqft for nominal 4" slab on already prepped surface to $15/sqft for stained/stamped concrete with tear-out of existing drive.

5-12

We usually estimate it between $5-$7 per sq foot to tear it out, and between $5-$7 per sq ft to replace it. More if it is going to be replaced with stamped concrete, or exposed agg., for example. Every job and its challenges are different. Some need minor excavation, some need none, and some need the whole yard removed… Every job is different

I think $8-$10 per SF is a safe budget number for new driveway

We general price concrete driveways out at $6 per square foot and up. Factors include the removal as needed, changing from 3,000 to 4,000 PSI, adding fiber reinforcements. Hope this helps. All jobs are different for every customer.
