For extra info, I’m a renter, but don’t want to notify my landlord if possible. He hasn’t raised rent in several years, so I’d prefer to handle/pay for myself if the fix is minor and not bother him.
Definitely time to replace it. If you’re reasonably handy, you can get it done in about an hour. If you’ve done it before, 45 minutes.
If the bottom of the disposal is leaking, you are better off replacing it. The price of a new disposal at the store is on the $100.00 range, plus labor that should be between $35.00 and $75.00.
The new disposal will last you a good 10 years.
Bottom where the drain is? Or from the garage disposal motor ?
