What is the highest score you could achieve on this website, if all the stars where lined up, Matthew G Strickfaden and Associates, Inc. is the highest as far as I know with an unbelievable score of 150, The guy is a Rock-star!
This is a question for BUILDZOOM, unless off-course the answer is TOP-SECRET.
I’m not sure if there is, or will ever be a “highest score” on Buildzoom. Their site is under construction, and changes to meet their Business plan and those of their contractors and potential clients. Recently, Buildzoom changed their algorithms, effectively lowering the base score for all contractors. I believe this was done in hopes of leveling the playing field (scores) for all contractors, and not just those who are heavy contributors, which of course might lead some contractors to achieve higher scores than they might otherwise deserve.
I always check in to see what new features and scoring changes are being made, Buildzoom really works for me!
I hope this helps!

PSS. I think you might be as obsessive compulsive as I am, keep up the good work, By the way, a contractor who is obsessive compulsive isn’t such a bad thing, ask some of my clients!
I hope this helps!
Dutchy, Inc., I spoke with one of the representatives at Buildzoom, about what I thought might have been a “glitch” in their scoring system because, after answering some questions (my question/answer point total went up), my Buildzoom score went down about 10 points.
When I inquired about the drop in my score, the representative informed me that Buildzoom had changed their scoring algorithms (changed the way they score contractors), resulting in a lowering of scores throughout the system, and that my answers, and the lower scores were merely coincidental. He indicated this was done in an attempt to make the system more fair to all contractors and more reliable for potential customers.
This seemed fair and reasonable to me because contractors who contribute to Buildzoom frequently, tend to have higher scores (which is nice for me) but the inflated scores don’t necessarily mean I/they am/are a better contractor(s). I suspect algorithms adjustments will modify scores in the future, but I believe Buildzoom has the best interests of both it’s contractors and potential clients at heart when they make the changes, and I applaud their efforts.
I hope this helps!
We actually haven’t created a cap on the score because we want to reward folks for continued participation in the community. Eventually, we may throttle the scoring system a bit but in general, we believe that a contractor who has an active license, great feedback from clients and shows active participation in the community should be recognized as an exceptional contractor.
