What is the most simple way to increase the comfort level of my home without changing out a relatively new system?

Adding duct zoning would be a valuable option for anyone who has had a system recently installed that isn’t creating a proper level of comfort. Many times, a system that isn’t properly sized can create issues such as incorrect humidity levels (too dry or too humid air), hot or cold pockets within the house, and reduced system efficiency. If you’re interested in more information on zoning, or for a consultation, don’t hesitate to call Fontaine-Repair today for your free estimate!

Annual preventive maintenance is a must! If you’re not maintaining your equipment, the performance will degrade yearly. Plus, repairs caused by lack of maintenance normally cost twice as much as you would pay for a maintenance contract.

You could look into a Ductless system. It depends on how large of an area you’re trying to cover though.

Fresh air intake with a ERV and mechanical exhausting, to keep fresh air evenly distributed through out the home. It dehumidifies, and saves energy. There are many ways to get your home more efficient roof ventilation is one of the largest areas of the home overlooked or inadequately vented roof systems make comfortable horrible efficiency start there

Your best bet would be to start with a pressure test of your home or have a pro come out and help you check and test the common issues that’s causing discomfort in your home so you’ll have a starting point … there’s big and small things that could make your home insufficient and honestly sometime its the smallest things that could be causing big problems…

Ex We had a customer that called us out that thought the cause of her issue’s was her new A.C and she thought it was to small because it… always felt like it would never cool but the issues wasn’t with a 3000 dollar A.C system that she had a Lic. A.C man put in…lol the problem was, there wasn’t enough return for the new unit so we took a small area out of the other end of the house and put in a wall return…now she claims its the best A.C she’s ever had but to say all issues are that easy is hard… but there are many thing that can come in factor like windows, holes, and most common A.C filters that can cause all types of problem that can make your home feel unconformable…so that being said see if you can find someone that can help you go over things and maybe you can find small little issue that could solve your problem and save you thousands instead of playing a guessing game because when you call a contractor about 90% of them are not going to make sure that’s your problem there just going to do the job you hired them to do…

It depends on what the issue is, but if it’s something like uneven temperatures between floors/rooms - the simplest and cheapest way - to install a thermostat with remote temperature sensors. While it’s not the best permanent solution and more like a “temporary” fix - it may help you to stay more comfortable in the area you will choose to read the temperature from.
