What is the price per sq ft to build second floor over on an existing floor
Great question, DVBT. Most additions and renovations cost is around $125 per sq. ft. So, if you are building a 700 sq. ft. addition, then you can expect around $90k for the complete addition. But, this also depends on finishes, which will fluctuate the price.
Cost per square foot varies greatly location to location and of course between the types of addition as well. I agree with DDT that a basic addition, ground level, crawl or slab, non-masonry siding, 4-6 /12 pitch, minimal use of windows /doors runs $125 - $135 /psf. Plus the cost of Kitchen and or Bath if they are included in the added space. Typical entry level finishes assumed.
The question is pretty vague to provide a specific answer. Depends on the type of addition or renovation going on. Example…If this is for a kitchen, some of our customers have completed a kitchen remodel for $6,000, while others have opted for a higher quality cabinet and other supplies and the final costs were around $40,000. It is best to have a contractor on site to discuss options and plans for the job.
Most additions & renovations cost is around $130 per square feet. It also depends on what state you are building in.So, if you are building a 1000 sq. ft. addition, then you can expect around $130,00 for the complete addition.
There is the difference in pricing for remodeling and additions. Along with that, they are different in
country.
