We have a flat roof, with skylights. Per my other posts, we’ve been getting some leaks from the skylights and around the windows (which may be a separate issue). We also know from our house inspection (which was 2 years ago) that roof is about 10-15 years old, and in need of some light repair. The inspector said some areas needed to be re-graveled, and one area looked like it might be causing leaks, but that we shouldn’t need a new roof for several years.
If we bring someone out to repair this type of work, what sort of price range should we be preparing ourselves for?
It will depend on your state code and the products you go with. You should call multiple contractors and get a few different quotes. Then they will give you their recommendations and you can go from there.
Roof maintenance prices have many variables and different contractors have different methods of charging for maintenance work. The main variables that determine the price are usually based of the cost of material used combined with a total number of hours per worker dedicated to the job. Another important factor to think about is the fact that most contractors include travel time in their price so it is beneficial to search for a local contractor.
