Some of the feedback we’ve received that we are thinking about incorporating:
Ability to filter and sort by # of permitted improvements so users could see (for example) the contractors with the most permitted projects in the past year.
Ability to sort based on permit value - either by setting a threshold (contractors with at least one permit over $100,000) or by average project value.
Average distance traveled.
Average client income - based on the location of permits, we’d show the average household income a contractor works for.
Is there anything else you’d find helpful? We’d love to hear from you.
I believe that it would be USEFUL to a contractor on BUILDZOOM… to be able to SEE how many possible clients have viewed their profiles…and by which SERVICE they were seeking most
I also believe that posting the “AVERAGE CLIENT INCOME”…is potentially insulting to my clients…what they DO, or DO NOT make…as an INCOME…is no ones business but their own.
…And if a Contractor does ALOT of Commercial projects…would you be posting the business’ income?
I think this will cost you alot of return clients to BuildZoom.
I, as a CONTRACTOR in a small community…feel that sorting through…and being able to snoop through what other contractors…Permit Value…is intrusive on my business…
… My experience, is that here, where I live and work…the VAlue of a PERMIT…is a “Best Guess”, Assumption, and may NOT even reflect the ACTUAL Value of a Project!!
I personally believe you should leave the “Permit” deal…as it already stands on BuildZoom.
Have to agree with Chance Construction on some of the points.
#4 could be potentially seen as a little too invasive a question in my opinion. I certainly would never dream of asking my clients what their average income was. If I was a client I am not sure I would want to answer this question.
I think it would be very helpful & useful for Buildzoom contractors to be able to see how many views their profile has had and what service they had searched for.
