As my boss puts it “laser scan inspection” One last inspection before wrapping everything up. We send our clients a follow up email to make sure they are satisfied or maybe something that was overlooked. Although we might consider a job perfect workmanship, a customer might not always think so…

A punch list isn’t anything specific. Its like a home inspection. You go through the property and look for flaws that need to addressed like, painting, trim work, flooring, cabininets ect. Anything you find that is unsettling. Then the contractor addresses those issues.

my final item on a job punch list is : after making sure all loose ends are finished and everything is done to my personal expectations i approach the customer and make sure they are satisfied with the final project . the customer is the one who must be happy with the finished project

As a Roofer we have a 20 point final inspection check list we go through to make sure everything was done properly. The most important aspects are quality of workmanship, clean up, final pictures, and ask customer about any questions or concerns

Walk the job room by room to check for imperfections and unfinished work. Make a list of each task that needs to be completed. That’s the punch list. Once each item is completed, you can sign off per room.

Quality control over the completed project. Making sure everything is done how it’s supposed to be.

final checklist is to make sure the client 100% happy with the job and there in nothing else to do ! if there is any little thing that need to be repair or redo the contractor should take care of it !!!
clients all ways should keep good amount of the total project to the end of the project and pay the remaining balance only after checklist was 100% cover and being take care of !!!

All these answers are correct, it’s meant to double check your work and to make sure you completed everything on your written bid. Checking the quality of work is equally important as completing everything.

Punchlist items are built by going over the areas that was the scope of work based on the contract. All details of the work are inspected. Defects or unfinished areas are noted by contractor and homeowner. Corrections are recommended and timetable to finish the open items.

A punch list is nothing explicit. Its like a home assessment. You experience the property and search for blemishes that need to tended to like, painting, trim work, flooring, cabininets ect. Anything you find that is agitating. At that point the temporary worker tends to those issues.

Punch list is the list of corrections from the home owner after we pass the final inspection. It’s more likely cosmetic stuff. Most of the times, punch list contains the paint and drywall, hardwood floor and grout on the tiles etc. the contractor needs to address all these issues before the home owner sign for the completion letter.

The number one on for me is that I go over the finished job with the customer and show everything that has been done and make sure that all questions are answered before I leave.

Final Punch list is too insured quality for any project of your agreement with the contractor.

Walk through with the costmers, line by line from contract to reality.
Good Communication doesn’t leave much for final punch list:)

We always want to make sure the client gets a detailed walk through of their completed project. We give in-person instructions on how to use any special appliances or new fixtures. After the quality check, we also ask if there’s any questions, concerns or feedback and leave no room for confusion before closing the completed project. Quality control is very important to the SmartDesign Team.
