What's the best way to trim kitchen cabinet toe kicks?

Hi,

I have some white kitchen cabinet toe kicks that are a bit too long by about 1/2 an inch vertically. What’s the best way to trim these cleanly? The material is thin (~1/8 inch) and might be masonite. I tried a utility knife already and didn’t seem too promising. I have about 20-30 feet that need to be trimmed. Thanks!

Major disclaimer: I’m not a professional contractor.

You need a table saw. Rent one or call your local lumber yard. They might be willing to help you make the cut.

Not only do you need a table saw. you could also use a chopsaw but it needs to be at least 100 blade

Thanks for the info @alexlitvak @spectrum-builders

I’ll give the table saw a try.

A table saw would be the best tool for the job. you could also use a circular saw but there is chance your cut won’t be as straight as a table saw.

A jigsaw may do the trick as well. @mistryconstruction @spectrum-builders

Hi Diee,
We can do it for you, we need to shave it with a special saw machine and then need to put side panels to cover it and make it straight. Give us a call at 877-572-6579 we would be happy to help you out.
