When searching for a contractor where do you tend to look first to get quotes?

Specific sites, like build zoom, google etc?

Word of mouth but if you had to look for a company build zoom is where you can find quality craftsman.

Searching on-line is a great place to start, but the professionals that purchase leads from Angie’s List and Home Advisor know all the tricks. Best place to start is looking for customer reviews. Maybe search and see if you can find Bad Reviews or information about companies first. Just because they are at the top of the Search Engine results doesn’t mean they are good quality craftsman.

Word of Mouth is usually the best way to search for a contractor. Then of course there is Buildzoom.

When looking for contractors I always ask for referrals first.
Then I go to Google or some other search engines.
I prefer Google overall, I am not a fan of the pay sites like Home Advisor or Angie’s.
They are simply trying to make a living off of contractors!
Googles organic listings are real people and real reviews!

Build Zoom has the most comprehensive information of them all and gives insight other
sites lack!

Typically, online searches tend to produces the best results, but word of mouth is a great source as well as moving billboards such as a vehicle or trailer, so the next time you’re out and about, be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

The best way to find a contractor for a job you need completed is to get a personal referral who has used the contractor on their own projects. Always make sure to see their work in person before contacting the company. When contacting the company, make sure they have the appropriate licensing and insurance. Take your time finding the right contractor and always remember; “you get what you pay for”. Hiring a contractor because they had the cheapest bid may bite your wallet in the long run.
