I’ve found that Ridgid’s return and warranty policies are by far the best in the business. All you have to do is register your tool on their website with the tool’s serial number and they are incredibly easy to work with and almost no fuss at all.
For other non powered tools, go with Husky if you can - they offer lifetime warranties on all of their products. To give you an example, I had a tape measure from them that had magnets on the front. One fell off, I returned it and got a brand new one, no questions asked and absolutely no issues at all.
