The value here is immense compared to other sites, how can they do this?

Since there is no charge to the contractors, for the leads Buildzoom provides, it is cheap indeed. My experience has been terrific and I have received some exceptional leads from Buildzoom!
As Buildzoom is still very new, and while this might change in the future, their revenue seems to be generated through contractor profile upgrades…which in my opinion is a bargin! Great site, good exposure…upgrade, get seen in more catagories and areas!

Right now, we’re really focused on creating a great service for both contractors and homeowners.
Making sure incentives and interests are aligned is a key point in all this.
We feel as though if we were to sell a lead to the highest bidder, we’d be doing a disservice to the homeowners who are using the site, which is why we have gone in this direction.
We can do this by following the same tenants that great contractors use with their own businesses - we spend prudently, make sure our expenditures have a good ROI and figure out how to get things done the right way without throwing money at problems.
So far I have received 3 direct call leads in the past week. The site seems to be picking up momentum.I asked what they thought of the site and the feedback is positive. One said that the profile format is very informative and showcases each contractors strengths and talents. Two of them found Buildzoom as they were fed up with a couple’ pay for info"sites,and think Yelp is just a platform for disgruntled customers to vent.
So kudos to the Buildzoom team so far. I like the fact that us contractors can participate and interact with each other,and network. Some may look at it as a competition site,but if you are experienced,competent at what you do,and get positive reviews,you should have no worries.Afterall,the work you do doesn’t lie.And I hope everyone who gets leads from this site,gets the job also.
I search the site for potential sub contractors in my area,so its a great search and networking tool, if you utilize it.
I’ve searched other sites and couldn’t believe how much they were charging to provide leads. Their focus ultimately seems to be more about sales than ensuring customers recieve quality contractors. I ran into this site while trying to search different marketing strategies and though I intialilly believed it to be the same as other sites, they were far from it.
The service representative that I spoke with over the phone was very knowledgeable about their website. If you have additional questions, you should call them. They are really good at responding quickly.
I, too, have wasted time and money buying leads elsewhere. My best web leads have come from BuildZoom. Looking forward to growing with them. Thanks, guys.
Build Zoom is a site that connects Comtractors and Customers. I am on other sites that do the same and they charge an arm and a leg to the Contractor and the Customer. I found that Build Zoom is easier to navigate and my Customers agree… Very happy with the site and glad that Build Zoom has not lost the goal to connect all of us against the others sites that went for a quick buck…
