Will white quartz natural stone used in a kitchen back splash be susceptible to staining?

Clearly, we’re in a remodeling state of mind! In any case, I love this tile option: http://www.homedepot.com/p/MS-International-Princess-White-Splitface-Ledger-Panel-6-in-x-24-in-Quartzite-Wall-Tile-6-sq-ft-case-QPRIWHI624/300333737
but I’m worried it will stain if used in our kitchen. Should I worry? How can I protect it?

Quartzite is resistant to staining, but as described in the product overview “All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer.” This is to prevent staining. Remember to clean and restain behind cooktops, sinks, and heavily used countertop areas as needed where oils, moisture, and food will regularly come into contact with the backsplash.
