We live in a slab townhouse, new construction (built in 2018). Our home/yard is lower than the unit next to ours, and in general rain/water runoff comes through our yard alongside our house. There's nowhere for it to drain, so it runs alongside. We noticed today that the bottom of the first-floor bathroom cabinet is slightly water-damaged, and there's nothing to indicate any interior plumbing issues. Going outside to the exterior wall (the bathroom is on the other side of this exterior wall), we can see where water might be getting in through the foundation.
