Working with 1 Smart Build was such a great experience. We hired them to remodel our kitchen. We met with the project manager, Michael, and discussed our needs and desires. One of the best parts of the encounter was there was no sales pressure unlike several other contractors we have met. The finalization of the project was a very satisfactory process. The time they took to finish was on time and all the materials are very high quality. The end results way exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend using 1 Smart Build

As a single mom I am always trying to find the best for me and my children, especially at this uncertain times.
My 1960s home was in great need of repairs and upgrades, so I called about 10 different construction company to see how can help me achieve my needs. 1 Smart Build was a company that had great reviews, so I called in and from the first call, everything was super impressive, they got an amazing crew and Isaac the manager was super professional and attentive to all of my house needs.
They have done almost everything that I needed in my budget and more. I could not thank them enough for the work, but there advantage is the outstanding customer service. Yes it is not cheap to remodel, but I prefer to give my money to people that actually care about me and my family.

We recently had our 2 bathrooms remodeled by 1 Smart Build and this was our 2nd & 3rd projects.
They did a partial remodel of our kitchen 3 years ago.
Since it had been 3 years, we did talk to other builders on the first bathroom project with an unique request.
We wanted to create an access to this bathroom from outside so our guests will not have to go around the house to get to a bathroom while they are using our pool.
Since it’s a small bathroom and there is no space to place a door from outside, we even thought about opening more space into the guest room next to it.
But one day we found some pictures online that showed a door from outside opening right into the shower area. We liked the idea so much, so we mentioned it as we were getting the estimate for the projects. 1 Smart Build was the only company who was excited about our idea and said “we could do this”.
He took care of all the permits with the city and did a beautiful job.
The foreman, Jesus was so nice and did such great work, we ended up asking them to carry on with another small bathroom.
Not only are they reasonable with their quotes, The office communicates with us well and listen to our concerns and takes care of them to our satisfaction.
No more shopping around for sure for any future remodeling projects.
We got 1 Smart Build for good. -

I hired 1 Smart Build in August 2022. Unskilled, unsupervised workers are routinely used. On most days, only one worker showed up and that worker used one hand to work and the other hand to hold a cell phone for chats to friends and family.
A sheer/strong wall was ripped through (it should not have) which sent spasms through the Los Angeles Building & Safety department and stopped work for nearly 3 months. The 1 Smart Build selected Architect floundered and flailed with many submissions containing errors and transposed numbers.
Thinner, cheaper wall insulation was put in the ceiling and attic and when pointed out, the reply was we’re not correcting it because the City Inspector didn’t catch it.
Tile flooring that was to have black grout had white grout because the installation was flawed. Bathroom wall tile was not level, edges were chipped, grout lines were wildly different. Grout powder was left all over the floor and the walls. Baseboard quarter rounds were not reinstalled. 1 Smart Build never corrected it and I had to pay a different contractor to repair the tile work throughout the house.
Crawl space access screens were horribly damaged by 1 Smart Build workers and never replaced or put back in place. I had to pay a different contractor to check for rats and replace the crawl space attic screens.
An unlicensed chimney sweep company was brought to work on my property by 1 Smart Build. The chimney company’s work heavily damaged my dining room ceiling. Only 1 Smart Build possessed the chimney company’s identity and contact information and 1 Smart Build handled all appointments. When faced with thousands of dollars of repair work caused by the chimney company, 1 Smart Build claimed they had no responsibility or liability.
! Smart Build put in a fake hvac register in a bathroom to fool the City Inspector. Remove the grill and there is nothing behind it!!!!
Workers used propane cooktops inside the work areas to cook food. Fire alarms in they house went off twice. Food splattered all over the floor and was not cleaned up.
The 1 Smart Build electrician wired a new 220 volt outlet thereby causing a room and a brand new sauna to fill with smoke.
Empty beverage bottles were left all over the house and property and street (and we were living here throughout) and never picked up.
Wood with nails sticking out was left in walking paths for weeks without being removed.
I was told that old cast iron piping had been removed from under the house per the contract, but I went under the house and it was all still there. 1 Smart Build lied.
In my experience, this is not an honest or trustworthy contractor. They keep changing their Yelp page to a pizza parlor to hide bad reviews. Beware!!!!

I used 1 smart build for my kitchen remodel , they open up all the space, now I have kitchen island open kitchen bright and white. I love my new cabinets I have lot of storage . They design my kitchen to suite my needs and the result are amazing . Thank you so much for Lee , Isaac and the office crew I’m recommending 1 smart build to all.Thank you .

FIVE STAR!!! 1 Smart Build Inc is the right name for this company. My wife and I been wanting to find a company and remodel our Hollywood loft after we got married. We searched all over for the right contractor and landed the job with them. We were so hesitant at first but Isaac was such a great project manager. He was super patient with my wife ( which can be difficult) lol he walked us through the design all the way to the finish, and most importantly he was able to deliver our dream loft within our budget. Highly recommend working with this team!!
