    House remodel
    $35,000

    We got a bunch of work done through Rudy. He does come off as a professional, he says he is a licensed contractor, but he subcontracts his work out to random people. So that doesn't help.
    He is petty. He will give you a quote, but then whine because the doors handle needs 3 holes as opposed to 2.
    He is untrustworthy. He will give you a quote, and in the middle of things increase it, because the guy he is getting to get the work done is charging him more. And this increase is not small. Corning you and making you helpless, and then taking advantage of it.
    His work is not clean. We got the fence repaired, but it's falling apart. He caused cracks in the porch. Doesn't know how to put flooring in the stairs - this is a serious trip hazard we have to live with now. And so many more.
    He is unreliable. Caused a lot of delay. Took up other jobs in between our work and didn't show up for days.
    He didn't finish the work. We held some money in the end. And now he refuses to come finish the work we already paid him for, until we pay him that money.

    All in all, no difference between him and any other inexperienced and unlicensed contractor. Next, I'll see how I can make a complaint against his license.
