    Rebuild after major leak. All trades.
    $80,000

    We had a major leak go undetected for 3 weeks. Another company completed the professional mold remediation work and 1st Atrium did the reconstruction. I will grant that we did this during the pandemic and with supply chain issues, so the fact that reconstruction of about 800 ft sq of space took a year. And I’ll grant that waiting for the new windows to arrive was not this company’s problem.

    Where 1st Atrium fell short repeatedly is in the attention to detail and general sloppiness. For example, two doors are not hung properly making them difficult to close. One brand new slider does not lock properly. Paint splatter on fixtures that should have been taped off. Outlets that were not converted to 4x from the original 2x. A wall mounted light fixture in the bathroom not hung centered above the sink. Our dishwasher removed and not replaced properly. An outlet not fitted correctly to receive a face plate. Did not run my cable to the correct receptacle to attach to my TV. Our new kitchen counter not fabricated to receive the soap dispenser that was part of the plan. I attention to the plan.

    The main trouble for all of this was that the owner, Arne P did not care and did not supervise his crews. He regularly fought with me when I pointed out these issues and often claimed that it was not his fault… never his fault. It’s hard to find good contractors. Steer clear from this one.
