I first of all ask the contractor not to rip off the insurance claim because like alot of claims are denied and i was going to have to foot the bill if they dont pay. So i was fine with paying 2300.00 because i thought they told me they were goin to replace a rafter on my roof through discovery it was found out that rafter didnt need to be replace, so it was decided to splice the wood to repair it. they didnot splice the wood, (historic house) They just nail another piece of wood to it and spray painted over caulk so for this job , i wouldn't pay more than 300 for this mess, but is a repair. so i asked for a grand back and they do not honor their quotes because their quote are not quotes , they are the price no matter what. If you need photos of the repair to see the work just contact me, and dont hire them
