    DO NOT HIRE! I would rate zero if I could. Doug did the same exact thing to me as described in BOTH reviews above including walking off the job (and refusing to return my house keys!) in 2015. I continue to uncover his negligence to this day. I did end up suing him (and winning) and bringing in the Contractors State License Board. Looks like he is back at it under a new name, use to be DJ Bauer. He hasn’t heard the last from me if my latest problem is discovered to be as a result of his shoddy work. DO NOT HIRE!!

    Not enough space to list all the problems with this contractor. He starts projects and tears apart your house, collects a high deposit and then doesn't show up for months to do any work. His workers stole thousands of dollars of my property. he does not work with plans so, don't expect your project to come out as expected. he is literally left my house dangerous and unsafe.

    Doug Ranabauer is 7 weeks late on what was supposed to be a 12 week project for $117,000. He just walked off the job, forfeiting the last installment of only $5,000 to focus on other new projects to collect high dollar early installments. He has been rude, abusive, and totally unprofessional from after only one week of work. We now have to scramble to find another contractor to finish the work. He engages in "bait and switch" and you lose control of your own house. We are going to sue him for breach of contract. Protect yourself and do NOT hire this scoundrel !
