I have worked with contractors in the past and while I expect to have bumps in the road, I hope no one ever has to experience what I did with 20th century building Inc. They were lazy, slow, sloppy and charged an insane amount for their “expertise” but seemed to not know what they were doing. I eventually paid them to get them out of my house and work was not complete to mitigate e stress they were putting me through. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a contractor.

This company is not good to work with. The owner Sal Rizzo does not keep his promises, but he wants your money. Contracted with the company to build a MBR addition and convert a linen closet into a laundry room. Still waiting for the company to start the laundry room (hired someone else). The mbr - ??. I will start at the top. The shingles are on backwards (confirmed by 2 different roofers, there is a leak in the bathroom. $6000 worth of wood flooring buckled and cupped in the bedroom, before we moved in. The manufacturer said installer error. The bedroom floor has pushed the tile in the bathroom, causing the marble threshold to crack. The walls have cracked in the corners, the ceiling has cracked. Even the entry door to the room is crooked and we have to shove it to close it. There are numerous other “little” things. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY or anyone with the Rizzo name from the eastside of the metro Detroit area.
