Rather paint over the problem, the floor was sanded and after seeing different samples of stain on the floor, the best to go with the walls, also of wood, was my choice. Very pleased!

I utilized 2X4 Home Improvements several times for work on my home in northern Hunterdon County. The work was completed quickly and with good quality. They were reasonable in price and thorough and clear with what work was to be performed. Additional projects were communicated to me promptly along with frequent updates on the work performed.

Brian did a great job with the repair of my rotten soffit. He thoroughly cleaned out the bad wood and miscellaneous detritus that had accumulated under the wood over the past 40 years (yuck!), and made it all look like new. He even threw in some extra preventative touches like installing a drip edge and ensuring the attached gutter was positioned ideally for future heavy rainfalls. He was very flexibile with winter weather and other interruptions, and the cost was exactly as estimated.
I would highly recommend 2x4 for home repair projects.
