    BE CAREFUL

THIS CONTRACTOR is horrendous. She lies and will steal your money. Her Subs are sloppy and do not finish their jobs. She canNOT be trusted. Her communication and people skills were extremely lacking. Gail M Balser is rude and not one laborer liked working for her. BE WARY...... she is literally the most vile person I have ever felt with in my 50 years of life.

It was very difficult working with Ms. Rachel Foley. Ms. Rachel Foley had engaged her own architect and was to provide stamped building plans for her project. After a two month delay, while she worked with her architect to finalize her plans, her architect did not want to complete the plans. Her architect withdrew from the job and she was unable to deliver the construction plans to us to apply for permits as we had agreed. We ended up engaging our own architect to provide construction plans so we could continue with the project. This put our timeline right in the middle of Covid. The addition to the house was to be constructed with Ms. Rachel Foley, her husband and one teenage son living in a separate part of the house. Due to Covid there were instead five people living in a very small space. Unfortunately Ms. Rachel Foley immediately demonstrated her family knew no boundaries or respect for those working in the house. We routinely drape plastic divider walls to keep the area of the house we work in separate from the rest of a customer’s home and because of Covid this was especially important for the safety of everyone working on the house, cleanliness of the other portion of the house, as well as the homeowners themselves. Within one hour of constructing the temporary walls her son and her dog had broken through the walls. We reconstructed the temporary walls even more securely, but the family still went under the walls and pulled sides from the existing walls to enter the space. In one instance, her son became ill and was exhibiting signs of covid. Rather than notifying us, so that work could be suspended until it was determined her son did not have covid, her son instead spent the day in the area directly adjacent to the workers. We were forced to send the workers home for their safety and their families’ safety. Again relentless and unreasonable nature would not allow Ms. Foley to understand that the workplace had to be safe for the workers. This led her to become insulting and hostile. The renovation continued after her son recovered although he was never tested for covid. The work was substantially complete except for the installation of the kitchen cabinets when the factory manufacturing the cabinets was forced to close down due to workers who tested positive for covid. This resulted in a two month delay in the delivery of the cabinets. Unfortunately, Ms. Foley could not accept that the factory would not reopen and ship her cabinets. Apparently, Ms. Foley thought that if she was demanding and insulting, she would be able to get her cabinets shipped despite the health department’s closure of the factory. Ms. Foley directly contacted the manufacturer falsely telling the customer service reps that she was the dealer, ie. one of our staff. She was so disrespectful and insulting to one of the office staff, the woman left the cabinet manufactuer's office crying. Ms. Foley then took to the internet as you can see from this post. She left disparaging and insulting comments about the cabinet company even though she had no contract with them. She began stalking one of the manager's children on her website. At that point we suspended all work and until she obtained professional representation to hopefully sort out the issues and be able to finish the work safely for everyone.

    Home remodel

REO did an amazing job remodeling my living room and adding a beautiful extension on. Answered all of our questions and responded promptly. I would highly recommend, and I will be using them again soon.

    Commerical Job
    $95,000

I highly recommend REO. This is the second time I hired Gail and her team. She has done both a remodel at our residence and a commercial job at our restaurant. Gail pays attention to every detail. Her subcontractors are very professional and know exactly what she wants. Gail is easy to work with and extremely easy to communicate with. I can’t say enough about the quality and consistency of her team.

Gail and her men did an outstanding job for us. She remodeled our entire condo and it is stunning. Her team was kind and considerate and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We received so many quotes that we were very confused as to which way to go. But after Gail went over every detail with us, we knew she would be our choice. We went with our gut instinct and it was right. We felt so reassured with the detail of her bid. We were prepared for delays along the way, but it never happened. The job was complete over a week early.

    home remodel
    $150,000

REO did a complete renovation of our summer home. Gail and her team were beyond dedicated. She went above and beyond to make sure we were completely happy with our beautiful new kitchen. Our deck is absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to enjoy it. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. Gail communicated with us in an excellent manner. She uses a phone and computer app the makes it easy to send questions and see exactly where the project is every step of the way. Her team never cut any corners, they only worked harder to make sure everything was perfect. The price we agreed on is exactly what we paid. I will never use a different contractor.

    $140,000

REO refitted our commercial offices at our business and added a good sized addition. We had a lot of special needs because of the type of business we own. Gail was fantastic and spent the time to completely understand our needs up front. She gave us a price quickly and efficiently. We were out of state for much of the construction, but we able to communicate through her phone app. We were provided a schedule and they were always on schedule or early. She provided regular updates including pictures of the progress. We were thrilled to return to a project in the final stages of completion. It was extremely important to us to have our project done on time. Our prior experiences with contractors have ended unpleasantly with our business temporarily shut down due to delays. Gail her and her crew are the opposite. We recommend her without reservation. You will be glad you chose her.

    Retail store build out
    $140,000

We had commercial build out for our retail store. We initially hired another contractor because of price. What a mistake that was! We knew within two weeks that it was a mistake. We were relocating our existing business and couldn’t have delays. After almost putting us out of business before we even got started in our new location, he walked off the job. Luckily a friend recommended REO. Gail was completely booked, but was kind enough to fit us in her schedule. She hired extra people to make it happen. Gail spent a lot of time with us at our initial meeting. It was important that we somehow make up for lost time. She and her team looked at our plans and had suggestions on how we could save time and money. Gail had a good eye for envisioning the project and knowing what we wanted. Unlike most of the other contractors that just gave us a bid off the top of their heads, REO gave us a complete set of specifications and a locked in price. We knew immediately we made the right choice this time! The job was superb and we are grateful for all that REO and the team did!

    Commercial refit

REO worked seamlessly with our architect. She is clearly knowledgeable in the field. She communicated ever milestone to us so there were never any unexpected or unpleasant surprises. Gail’s team worked diligently to complete our project on time. Every sub used was professional and did a great job. Our addition was completed within our budget and we absolutely love it. Gall has a lot of great ideas for enhancements that didn’t add any additional cost. We were lucky enough to fit into her schedule pretty quickly but after seeing how she and her team work, we would wait if necessary.

Gail did a fit out for our commercial space. We are very pleased with the project. She communicated with us efficiently and clearly. All of her contractors did excellent work. We were concerned with two thing for our project: completion time and money. Gail completed our project ahead of schedule. She was very transparent as to what was happening each step of the way. We knew exactly what to expect through out the process. The most amazing thing is that the contract she quoted us was exactly what we paid. There was not a single extra needed. She spent the time upfront knowing exactly what we needed. We have worked with other contractors that charged thousands of dollars for unexpected extras. Not with Gail. The price was the price. We give Gail and her team 10 stars! They were fabulous.
