3D Landscaping was hired by the builder for the sprinkler, and I have never had prior irrigation system require any maintenance over the years. This system from 3D has required 2 new pop-up heads (threads stripped, missing swing joints), 3 swing joints (joints cracked), 2 90degree PVC joints (settling broke joints), 1 T joint (glued incorrectly), and 2 solenoids (looks like they didn't flush the system before starting.) in 3 years.
The entire system is installed with PVC hardline and is not buried deeper than 6in at any point I've seen. I cant aerate my yard without risking destroying the lines. Two of the popups were missing swing joints and stripped from the joint. One of the corner pop-ups had a 360 head on it at the corner of the sidewalk. so was watering my car/driveway/road/sidewalk.
The solenoids for the zones are scattered around the yard. So in addition to the PVC lines, I have wires running all over my yard plus 6in round plastic caps. Many wires have floated to above the grass.
I have seriously considered completely removing this system from my house. Avoid 3D Landscaping & Irrigation at all costs.
